Job Summary
Senior Telematics Technician at Swift Transportation: provide guidance to shop mechanics/technicians on installing telematics equipment and systems in company trucks; perform bench tests and on-truck testing of telematics; handle escalated inquiries via the Telematics hotline; conduct testing and troubleshoot telematics systems; collaborate with shop staff to install telematics; interpret schematics and vehicle-network protocols (CAN, J1939); perform quality checks to verify data transmission and system functionality; maintain a clean, safe work area and proactively assist others; commitment to training, development, and safety.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years related experience required.
- Must possess deep expertise in vehicle networks, diagnostics, and telematics platforms on major truck brands.
- Must be able to interpret complex technical documentation and schematics.
- Must possess excellent communication skills and verbally provide detailed instructions.
