Senior Telecommunications Superintendent

Job Summary
Oversee day-to-day field operations for large-scale fiber installation projects by ensuring work meets approved plans, specifications, and building codes. Lead the development of Project Quality Plans and Safety Programs, oversee incident investigations, and manage construction schedules to address delays. Estimate activity durations and materials, participate in subcontractor and supplier selection, and allocate resources for the entire field team. Provide leadership and mentorship to project staff and Superintendents while anticipating client needs and sharing expertise. This role requires 8+ years of experience in telecommunications construction, knowledge of aerial and underground fiber installation, and the ability to supervise craft employees and sub-contractors. Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States. Ledcor Technical Services designs, builds, and maintains wireline or wireless networks across North America, prioritizing safety and long-term employee wellbeing.
Required Qualifications
- 8 plus years of experience in as a Telecommunications construction Superintendent
- Knowledge of Aerial and underground fiber installation using boring and plow equipment
- Post-secondary education in Construction, Engineering, or a related discipline
- Effective Communication and leadership skills
- Ability to directly supervise craft employees as well as sub-contractors
- Problem-solving abilities and the capacity to anticipate and address issues
- Comprehensive knowledge of construction documents, drawings, specifications, and current construction practices
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Able to meet the physical requirements of the position which involves sitting, standing, bending, climbing, lifting (up to 50 pounds), working at heights, and in all types of weather conditions (rain, snow, heat etc.)
- This is a site-based position that will require travel to various Ledcor offices and project sites
