Job Summary
Lead the design, integration, and delivery of cutting-edge telecommunications systems across Australia and Asia, with a primary focus on Data Centres and Aviation. Manage timelines, budgets, and deliverables across multiple concurrent projects; mentor junior engineers; engage with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes; lead small to medium-sized design projects and support larger programmes. Responsibilities include the design and documentation of Structured Cabling, Outside Plant, IT & OT Networks, and ICN platforms; collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams to develop ICT strategies; interfacing withControls, MEP and Security specialists; researching and implementing latest innovations in Telecommunications; preparing technical documentation and managing construction phase services; ensuring QA and project delivery standards; supporting commissioning activities. Required experience includes 7+ years in mission-critical projects, a relevant engineering degree (Mechatronics, Telecommunications, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering) or equivalent, and demonstrated ability to deliver technically strong, cost-efficient projects with effective stakeholder management.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience delivering mission-critical projects within an engineering consultancy or Telecommunications/Network vendor/integrator environment
- A relevant engineering degree in Mechatronics, Telecommunications, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering—or equivalent industry experience
- Ability to collaborate with MEP engineers, Controls and Security designers
- Experience preparing technical documentation (e.g. specifications, schematics, reports) and managing construction phase services
- Proven ability to manage project timelines, deliverables, budgets, and stakeholder relationships
