Job Summary
Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware and software issues, prioritize urgent cases, and minimize customer disruption. Validate and implement technical solutions using internal knowledge resources, utilizing Salesforce to track repairs and close cases timely. Participate in the on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support, respond within contract timelines, and escalate issues as needed. Mentor team members, communicate clearly with customers and technical teams, and contribute reusable learnings to knowledge tools. Complete advanced training in specialized compute, network, and storage operating systems while attending weekly internal and customer calls.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience
- Bachelor of Arts/Science or equivalent degree in computer science or related area of study
- Without a degree, three additional years of relevant professional experience (8+ years in total)
- Some on-call and weekend work
- Self-starter able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Extensive experience troubleshooting and diagnosing Linux-based hardware
- Ability to clearly communicate issue impact and expected outcomes to both customers and HPE teams
- Ability to work in a multi-technology environment and diagnose complex technical issues to their root cause
