Job Summary
Senior Technologist for the Dresses/Woven/Jersey category, on a 12-month maternity cover, responsible for driving the quality framework and ensuring regulatory and brand requirements are met. Leads product engineering and supplier management to improve value, cost price, and lead times, mentors the wider quality team, deputises for the Technical Manager, and collaborates with BMD to embed best practice and drive continuous improvement across the product category.
Required Qualifications
- Technical qualification or other degree
- Previous experience as a Technologist / Senior Technologist in a major retailer or New Look department
- Specialist knowledge in Dresses/Woven/Jersey
- Proficient in fit sessions and pre-production meetings
- Understanding of body measurements, grading, and packaging requirements
- Ability to mentor and coach team members
- Experience with quality frameworks and regulatory compliance across product value chain
