Job Summary
Senior Techno-Economic Analyst to design, develop, and evolve a modular Techno-Economic Model (TEM) capturing the full lifecycle of DAC units—from manufacturing to operations—and translate technical performance into financial outlooks for executive decision-making. You’ll lead sensitivity and scenario analyses, bridge engineering, supply chain, and finance to identify cost-reduction opportunities, influence product roadmaps, and provide data-driven inputs for bespoke commercial bids. The role emphasizes translating simulations into clear business insights, interpreting outputs against commercial assumptions, and supporting localization and energy configuration decisions, with a hybrid work arrangement in Amsterdam. The candidate will work within Skytree’s Product Management team and interact across engineering, operations, and finance to advance the company’s €100 per tonne CO2 target.
Required Qualifications
- Quantitative mastery in financial modeling and data analysis with Python (NumPy/Pandas), MATLAB, or advanced Excel/VBA
- Experience with AI-assisted modelling and agentic workflows
- Engineering literacy in process/chemical engineering, thermodynamics, and energy systems
- Ability to distill multi-variable simulations into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders
- 5+ years of experience in techno-economic assessment (TEA), life cycle assessment (LCA), or product strategy in a deep-tech environment
- Educational background in Process/Chemical/Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or Econometry with focus on Energy Systems; Masters or PhD is a plus
- Familiarity with carbon markets and energy subsidies (e.g., 45Q, EU ETS) and energy transition landscape
- Strong communication skills and capability to work with R&D to C-level stakeholders
