Senior Technician - Mt. Vernon

Job Summary
Troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade industrial hoists and cranes in the field while performing routine maintenance and solving complex malfunctions. Lead field technicians, mentor staff, and conduct OSHA-required inspections to generate reports and repair orders. Consult with customers on safety improvements and coordinate daily work schedules with management. Maintain company equipment, vehicles, and assets in safe working order while operating tools and vehicles responsibly. Provide after-hour and weekend services as required on-call, working various shifts and traveling 20-50% of the time. Perform labor-intensive tasks including climbing heights exceeding 50 feet, lifting up to 100lbs, and enduring extreme temperatures.
Required Qualifications
- At least 5-7 years of crane repair & maintenance experience
- At least 3-4 of years electrical and/or mechanical experience in lieu of crane repair & maintenance experience
- Must have a valid drivers license and acceptable driving record
- Must always commit to working and driving safely
- Must be willing to work off the ground at various heights
- Must have basic computer skills to work with web-based crane inspection programs
- Must be able to communicate well with others and work independently or as a team
- Knowledge of hand tools and/or possess hand tools
- Must be able to be on-call and provide after hour services as required
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs on a daily basis
- Must be able to lift up to 100lbs on a rare basis
- Employee will be required to travel from time to time (20-50%)
- Must be willing to work various shifts to accommodate needs of HCSG branches and customers
- This includes on-call and overtime
