Job Summary
Troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade industrial hoists and cranes in the field at customer locations while performing routine maintenance and inspections. Lead field technicians and mentor staff, acting as the liaison between management and customers to schedule daily work and discuss safety recommendations. Conduct OSHA-required inspections, generate reports, and maintain company equipment and vehicles in safe working order. Operate tools and vehicles responsibly, travel 20-50% of the time, and work various shifts including on-call availability for after-hours and weekend services. The role involves labor-intensive physical demands, heights over 50 feet, and exposure to extreme temperatures, noise, and fumes.
Required Qualifications
- At least 5-7 years of crane repair & maintenance experience
- At least 3-4 of years electrical and/or mechanical experience in lieu of crane repair & maintenance experience
- Must have a valid drivers license and acceptable driving record
- Must always commit to working and driving safely
- Must be willing to work off the ground at various heights
- Must have basic computer skills to work with web-based crane inspection programs
- Must be able to communicate well with others and work independently or as a team
- Knowledge of hand tools and/or possess hand tools
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background (DISA) and submit to random and annual drug testing as required
