Job Summary
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair arcade game machines including video games, pinball machines, claw machines, and simulators. Perform routine preventative maintenance and inspections on all equipment while maintaining accurate service logs and documentation. Order and track parts and supplies as needed, assist in the installation and setup of new arcade equipment, and ensure machines are clean, presentable, and safe for customer use. Provide technical support and guidance to junior technicians and collaborate with the operations team to minimize equipment downtime. Maintain a clean and organized workshop and stay current on new technologies and advancements in arcade gaming equipment. Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience repairing and maintaining arcade machines or similar electronic/electromechanical equipment
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, soldering, and troubleshooting tools
- Mechanical aptitude and the ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and service manuals
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods
- Strong communication and team leadership skills
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if needed
Desired Qualifications
- technical or trade school certification
- Experience with ticket/redemption game systems and card readers (e.g., Embed, Intercard)
- Familiarity with coin mechanisms, monitors, PCBs, power supplies, and software updates
- Experience working in a family entertainment center, arcade, or similar environment
