Job Summary
Senior Equipment Maintenance Technician at Microchip Technology Inc. responsible for repairing and maintaining all production equipment in the wafer fabrication facility to ensure equipment availability meets production needs. Perform installation, modification, upgrade, and preventive maintenance; troubleshoot issues using technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools; provide technical support to production operators and process engineering teams; ensure safety and cleanroom compliance; contribute to improving equipment uptime and manufacturing performance through systematic maintenance programs.
Required Qualifications
- Technical or Military training in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience in a related field.
- 7+ years of relevant equipment maintenance and repair experience.
- Ability to read and understand electrical and electronic schematics, mechanical drawings, piping diagrams and flow charts.
- Experience in component level troubleshooting of analog and digital circuits.
- Experience soldering and desoldering components on printed circuit boards.
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing cable harnesses.
- Ability to test and evaluate the condition of electrical components such as transistors, diodes, resistors and capacitors with an analog or digital multimeter.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to equipment safety and performance.
Desired Qualifications
- Diploma in any Technical Field
- Experience in Semiconductor manufacturing environment
- Diode manufacturing and testing experience (preferred)
- Experience with MIL-PRF-19500 & MIL-PRF-38534 (preferred)
