Job Summary
Troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade industrial hoists and cranes in the field while performing routine maintenance, inspections, and generating OSHA-compliant reports. Lead field technicians through mentorship and training, acting as the liaison between management and customers to schedule daily work and discuss safety improvements. Maintain company equipment and vehicles, operate tools safely, and participate in required trainings and the HCSG 5 Marks program. This labor-intensive role involves frequent climbing, balancing, and heights over 50 feet, with 20-50% travel and on-call availability for after-hours and weekend services.
Required Qualifications
- At least 5-7 years of crane repair & maintenance experience
- At least 3-4 of years electrical and/or mechanical experience in lieu of crane repair & maintenance experience
- Must have a valid drivers license and acceptable driving record
- Must always commit to working and driving safely
- Must be willing to work off the ground at various heights
- Must have basic computer skills to work with web-based crane inspection programs
- Must be able to communicate well with others and work independently or as a team
- Knowledge of hand tools and/or possess hand tools
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background (DISA) and submit to random and annual drug testing as required
