Job Summary
Research, write, edit, and proofread complex technical data for manuals, procedures, and specifications to simplify technical information for clients. Determine project scope and timelines, coordinate plans, and interview programmers and engineers to gather technical data for complex documentation. Create, compile, and deliver system/software developmental packages including narratives, logic diagrams, and input instructions. Establish style guidelines and provide leadership to less experienced personnel. This remote-based role within the United States includes up to 10% travel and requires a Bachelor's degree in technical writing or related field with six years of experience. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Six or more years of technical writing experience
- Experience working with desktop publishing, word processing, and on-line documentation software
- Experience working with industry writing style such as grammar, sentence form, and structure
- Experience working with company software products
- Remote-based opportunity within the United States
