Job Summary
Review and update PSE directives, user manuals, and Project Tracking Systems guides to maintain Integrated Locking Devices functionality. Prepare, edit, and proofread articles for the Security Facts Newsletter database while creating document change packages per Joint Staff Correspondence Preparation standards. Develop multimedia and interactive content for presentations and web delivery, providing graphic art services for technical documentation and electronic newsletters. Generate reports and executive summaries, ensuring all images, logos, and documents meet government guidelines. Support the DOW Lock Program for NAVFAC EXCW through technical writing, editing, and proofreading tasks.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 3+ years of experience as a Technical Writer specializing in physical security technology
- Complete ASIS Assets Protection Course TM: Principles of Security (APC I)
- Secret clearance
- Ability to create, assimilate, and convey material in a concise and effective manner
- Experience in creating document change packages in accordance with the Joint Staff Correspondence Preparation (JSM 5711.01)
- Ability to develop multimedia and interactive content for use in presentations and web-based delivery
- Knowledge of PAO standards and guidelines for report styles and procedures
- Basic knowledge of Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or similar types of programs
- Working knowledge of MS Office suite
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with teams and clients

- Still and Video photography skills
- Graphic design, web content/layout editing, and Adobe Photoshop (or equivalent) skills
- PowerPoint Presentation skills
