Job Summary
Serve as the primary technical interface for customers across North America, leading discussions on issue resolution and technical solutions for RFIs/RFQs. Maintain ongoing post-commissioning relationships to act as an escalation point for operational questions, while conducting root cause analysis and troubleshooting for field issues involving power conversion systems and BESS. Address technical deviations by managing fault reports through closure, providing expert support to site engineers remotely and on-site to minimize downtime. Collaborate with internal engineering and product teams to align on customer priorities, produce high-quality technical documentation, and drive continuous product improvement based on field findings. This senior role requires 10 years of power systems experience, fluency in English, and up to 25% annual travel.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- 10 years of relevant engineering experience in power systems or related fields
- Demonstrated leadership in technical customer-facing environments
- Fluency in English - verbal and written
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% annually
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Hands-on experience with battery energy storage systems (BESS), including lithium-ion technologies, BMS integration, and safety protocols in operational environments
- Proven track record of diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues in mission-critical, time-sensitive environments
- Experience with power monitoring platforms and energy management tools
- Familiarity with relevant North American and international standards: NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE, IEC, ASHRAE
- Prior experience in a senior field engineering, application engineering, or technical account management role
- Experience with GE Vernova Power Conversion and Storage or equivalent power conversion and energy storage product lines
- Project Management experience or certification (PMP or equivalent)
- Experience working with large-scale industrial or utility-scale power conversion and storage operators
