Job Summary
Serve as the senior technical point of contact for customers across North America, leading discussions on issue resolution and technical solutions for RFIs/RFQs. Maintain ongoing post-commissioning relationships, performing root cause analysis for field issues involving inverters and battery energy storage systems while monitoring performance trends to optimize reliability. Address technical deviations remotely or on-site, managing fault reports through closure to minimize downtime. Act as the internal voice of the customer, communicating field feedback to Systems Engineering, Design Engineering, and Product Management to ensure commitments are met. Produce high-quality technical documentation including site assessments and root cause summaries, and contribute to internal knowledge base resources. This high-visibility role sits at the intersection of technology, customer success, and business growth for GE Vernova Power Conversion and Storage Solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- 10 years of relevant engineering experience in power systems or related fields
- Demonstrated leadership in technical customer-facing environments
- Fluency in English - verbal and written
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% annually
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Hands-on experience with battery energy storage systems (BESS), including lithium-ion technologies, BMS integration, and safety protocols in operational environments
- Proven track record of diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues in mission-critical, time-sensitive environments
- Experience with power monitoring platforms and energy management tools
- Familiarity with relevant North American and international standards: NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE, IEC, ASHRAE
- Prior experience in a senior field engineering, application engineering, or technical account management role
- Experience with GE Vernova Power Conversion and Storage or equivalent power conversion and energy storage product lines
- Project Management experience or certification (PMP or equivalent)
- Experience working with large-scale industrial or utility-scale power conversion and storage operators
