Senior Technical Specialist

The Senior Technical Specialist designs and implements IP-based platform infrastructure and service solutions, aligning with architecture standards and business requirements. Responsibilities include developing low-level designs, configuring automation tools, and supporting testing and deployment across production networks. Requires strong expertise in routing, switching, firewall configuration, data centre networking (VXLAN/EVPN), and hands-on experience with major vendor equipment, with flexibility for after-hours implementation and troubleshooting. Day-to-day duties include designing IP network connectivity solutions, onboarding and integrating new routers and switches, coordinating with stakeholders to resolve design and requirement-related issues, providing feasibility studies and impact assessments, offering technical support during critical incidents from a design perspective, and developing/reviewing solution designs and documentation while collaborating with teams and vendors. The role emphasizes building stakeholder relationships, effective communication of solutions, vendor management, risk mitigation, and supporting project escalations. Notable qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 15+ years of IP network engineering experience with leadership experience, plus deep knowledge of core telco technologies and networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, SRv6, EVPN, VPNs, QoS, traffic engineering), experience in scalable architecture design and network automation, and familiarity with mobile network technologies (3G/4G/5G, IMS, VoLTE/VoWiFi/VoNR, RAN) along with strong security knowledge (IPSEC, DDoS mitigation, Zero Trust).
