Job Summary
Develop common reporting templates that leverage varying data to create uniform results for regular and ad hoc reporting needs. Collect energy efficiency and electrification reporting and KPI data from multiple stakeholders, compile it into standardized formats, and present formal reports to internal and client-facing senior management. Track recurring energy measure calculation updates, maintain program databases with periodic accuracy reviews, and assist with third-party report interpretation and regulatory guidance implementation. Support CPUC-level reporting by coordinating data compilation, generating submissions, and responding to external data requests. Minimal travel in the Los Angeles metro area up to 10% of the time for meetings and events.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Physical Sciences, Computer Science, Statistics, Business Administration, Economics, Energy, Environmental Studies or related subjects (or applicants can substitute one year of related experience for one year of education)
- 5+ years of experience working in energy, sustainability, project reporting and/or related experience
- 3 + years of experience compiling and presenting DSM program tracking and KPI data to senior management
- Minimal travel in the Los Angeles, CA metro area up to 10% of the time for meetings and events
Desired Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Engineering, Physical Sciences, Computer Science, Statistics, MBA, Economics, Energy, Environmental Studies or related subjects
- Experience in the utility or energy industry and knowledge of energy efficiency measures and technology
- Understanding of programs promoting Demand Side Management, Energy Efficiency, Electrification and Demand Response
- Knowledge of sustainable building practices and technologies
- Demonstrated familiarity with California deemed and custom project requirements
- Demonstrated familiarity with CEDARS reporting system
- Demonstrated familiarity developing and writing code with scripting and programming languages such as Python, VBA, R, and /or SQL
- Familiarity with using the eTRM or other TRMs
- Experience creating Power BI dashboards and/or developing advanced MS Excel workbooks using macros, VBA code and complex data structures to generate reports
- Microsoft certificate(s) including: Microsoft Office Specialist, Microsoft Excel Expert, Microsoft PowerPoint Associate, Microsoft PowerBI Certificate and/or Microsoft PowerBi Data Analyst Certificate
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work and exercise independent judgment
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze situations, identify existing or potential problems, and recommend solutions
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to carry out oral and written instructions thoroughly
- Ability to engage with multiple stakeholders in both public and private settings and negotiate outcomes
- Sound business ethics, including the protection of proprietary and confidential information
- Interpersonal skills including courtesy, professionalism, and a cooperative attitude
