Job Summary
Senior Technical Sound Designer responsible for designing and implementing gameplay, environmental, and cinematic sound effects; creating immersive ambient audio landscapes; collaborating with the audio team to maintain the project's audio style; ensuring seamless integration with gameplay mechanics; troubleshooting and optimizing audio implementation to meet performance targets; helping define and document audio pipelines and workflows; requires 5+ years in game sound design, Pro Tools/Reaper/Ableton/Reaer/ Soundminer/VST plugins, and advanced Wwise and Unreal Engine Blueprint skills; strong collaboration and communication; open to working as part of a team and independently; shipped AAA title preferred.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in sound design for video games, with at least one shipped AAA title.
- Proficiency in sound design software and DAWs (e.g., Pro Tools, Reaper, Ableton Live, Soundminer, VST plugins, etc).
- Advanced audio implementation skills in AudioKinetic Wwise and Unreal Engine Blueprints.
- A generalist mindset with the ability to contribute to various aspects of audio production, including SFX, ambiances, music implementation, VO mixing, and technical script implementation.
- A keen ear for detail and a passion for creating immersive audio experiences.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to adapt to evolving project needs.
- Ability to work well alone and in a team environment, remaining flexible to the changing needs of the project.
