Job Summary
Lead technical contact for assigned customers and key accounts, providing comprehensive expertise throughout innovation, troubleshooting, and cost re-engineering processes. Plan and conduct complex application trials involving formulation and process development at customer sites. Act as a technical mentor to junior team members while independently diagnosing problems and recommending solutions based on food technology knowledge. Evaluate customer and competitor portfolios to develop innovative solutions within specific key application categories. Leverage relationships across technical and commercial teams to drive projects aligned with business strategy. Document technical work centrally and communicate results internally and externally to customers. Fluently communicate in French and English.
Required Qualifications
- Degree, or equivalent, in Food Technology, Food Engineering, or another relevant discipline
- Strong experience in a Technical Service, NPD, or Applications team within specialty food ingredients
- Knowledge of dairy, savoury, beverage applications, including interactions with different food ingredients, systems, and food processing
- History of successful projects delivering product innovation and a proven track record of technically supporting customers in the food industry
- Advanced understanding of equipment and technologies to enable laboratory and pilot plant trials, with a focus on these application areas
- Proficiency in documenting technical work centrally (Knowledge Management) and communicating project results internally as well as externally to customers
- Fluent French and English communication skills (written and verbal)
