Job Summary
Senior Technical Sales Support Engineer at ABB based in Petaling Jaya, with hybrid/onsite work model. You will develop controls, automation, and digital solution proposals for Power & Water, Oil & Gas, Energy Transition and New Energy segments; translate customer process needs into a coherent control system architecture (DCS/PLC/SCADA/SIS), integrating electrical, automation, and digital layers, and ensuring compliance with IEC/IEEE/API/ISO and sector-specific codes. You will support the tendering cycle by preparing technical proposals, compliance matrices, solution descriptions, and value-engineered alternatives; collaborate with sales, engineering, and product teams to ensure proposals are competitive, accurate, process-aligned, and fully compliant with customer specifications. The role requires 11–15 years of experience in automation and control systems, experience delivering complex bids & proposals, and strong collaboration across international teams; based in Petaling Jaya with #LI-Hybrid/#LI-Onsite work model and English proficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Engineering degree in Electrical, Controls, Automation, or related field
- 11–15 years of experience in automation and control systems across industrial and energy sectors
- More than 8 years’ experience coordinating and delivering complex Bids & Proposals
- Fluent in English; proficiency in local language
