Job Summary
Identify and prioritize new client opportunities to grow business within the Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry Division. Coordinate actions to enhance market penetration and uncover new potential opportunities to increase allegiance and sales revenue. Develop and drive sales strategies while acting as a trusted advisor for key contacts, clarifying goals and maintaining the interests of all parties. Support Account Managers with strategy development, run the sales funnel and forecast, and maintain awareness of competitor and industry activity. Introduce new products and services, lead teamwork with technical specialists, and represent CMD at knowledge-based seminars. Provide training and coaching to country sales teams, exchange account information, and travel to customer locations including international sites to advance solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working in a multi-country or regional capacity
- Consistent track record of sales experience in analytical/relevant instrument market and handling high-value accounts
- Masters' degree in science or equivalent work experience
- Experience in conducting seminars and presentations
- Commercial mindset, strongly motivated by desire to win new business, with proven relentless pursuit of opportunities
- Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication, and presentation skills
- Demonstrated commercial excellence working in matrix environment
- Ability to explain and sell the technical aspects of Thermo Fisher Scientific's scientific product portfolio
- Ability to travel to customer locations including international travel
