Job Summary
Senior Manager, Technical Recruiting at Brex leads a team responsible for AI/ML, specialized technical, and engineering leadership hiring. Owns end-to-end health of the function's pipeline, sets team goals, drives conversion, surfaces risks, and partners with engineering leadership to translate priorities into sourcing and assessment strategies. Focuses on developing recruiters, coaching for sharper feedback, and building strong relationships with leaders. Role is based in San Francisco in a hybrid environment (minimum three coordinated days in the office per week) with up to four weeks of fully remote work per year. Requires 7+ years of technical recruiting experience and 2+ years of people management, with a track record in specialized technical hiring and data-driven decision making.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of technical recruiting experience in high-growth or venture-backed tech companies
- 2+ years of people management experience leading technical recruiting teams
- Demonstrated experience hiring for specialized technical roles (AI/ML, Infrastructure, Platform, Security, or similar)
- Track record of developing recruiters — giving direct feedback, running 1:1s, and building high-performing teams
- Strong analytical instincts; comfortable reading pipeline data and translating it into action
- Experience as a strategic partner to Engineering or senior technical leadership
- Ability to operate with autonomy and handle ambiguity in a fast-moving, evolving org
