Job Summary
Own full-cycle recruiting from intake through offer acceptance across multiple engineering disciplines, partnering with hiring managers to calibrate role requirements and interview plans. Develop sourcing strategies to identify and engage highly sought-after passive candidates while managing pipelines to improve hiring velocity. Lead interview debriefs, guide candidate evaluation, and report recruiting metrics such as conversion rates and pipeline health to flag risks. Ensure consistent processes within the ATS and represent Vast's mission to candidates throughout the hiring process. This full-time, exempt position is based in Long Beach, California, with a salary range of $116,000–$164,000 USD.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience
- Experience managing multiple searches simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Strong stakeholder partnership and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to source and engage passive candidates
- Must be a U.S. person as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.62 or otherwise eligible for deemed export licensing
Desired Qualifications
- Recruiting experience in Engineering — Mechanical, Avionics, Propulsion, Thermal Controls, Software, GNC, Structures, or Satellites
- Experience using Greenhouse ATS or a similar Applicant Tracking System
- Demonstrated experience operating autonomously and managing competing priorities
- Excellent attention to detail and process discipline
- Experience working in high-growth, fast-scaling organizations
