Job Summary
Senior Technical Recruiter for Semtech Photonics fab in Alhambra, CA. Own the full recruiting lifecycle for all open headcount at the Alhambra fab site, coordinating with site leadership and HRBPs, building talent pipelines across compound semiconductor and photonics roles, and leading offer negotiations. Focus areas include production operators, process technicians, MOCVD engineers/scientists, process/test/backend engineers, R&D scientists, facilities and EHS leadership, and site management. Requires 7+ years of technical recruiting experience in semiconductor/photonics/advanced manufacturing, a bachelor’s degree, strong sourcing across multiple channels, and familiarity with Workday/ATS. This contract role (6 months) emphasizes partnering with site leadership to meet buildout milestones and staffing needs, maintaining candidate records, and delivering regular hiring progress updates.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 7+ years of technical recruiting experience
- Experience supporting semiconductor, photonics, or advanced manufacturing environments
- Experience managing a high-volume requisition load at a fab or manufacturing site
- Strong sourcing capabilities (LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, networks, industry channels)
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience with ATS and HRIS platforms
- Desired familiarity with Workday as ATS
- Knowledge of compound semiconductor technologies, III-V materials, or photonics manufacturing processes (strongly preferred)
- Experience recruiting across exempt and non-exempt roles (production operators, process technicians, hourly)
