Job Summary
Own the Developer Platform portfolio planning process end-to-end, including intake, prioritization, capacity planning, and quarterly commitment alignment across engineering teams. Partner with engineering leads and product managers to translate team-level work into a coherent portfolio view, surfacing dependencies, sequencing tradeoffs, and flagging risks before they become surprises. Maintain and evolve operating cadences, including standups and monthly program reviews, to keep teams aligned and leadership informed. Develop and own portfolio status communications for VP and SVP audiences, translating complex technical programs into clear, plain-language narratives for Ops Review content and monthly dashboards. Manage the Developer Platform intake process by evaluating incoming requests, coordinating triage, and maintaining a prioritized backlog while ensuring governance frameworks and documentation standards are adhered to. Serve as the primary owner of portfolio tooling for Aha!, Jira, and GitHub, using AI tools to accelerate portfolio work and continuously improve how the portfolio is structured and managed.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in portfolio management, program management, or strategic operations supporting engineering or technology organizations
- Demonstrated ability to manage a complex, multi-workstream portfolio
- Experience owning quarterly planning processes, including capacity planning, prioritization, and commitment tracking across multiple teams
- Exceptional written communication skills
- Strong stakeholder management instincts
- Proficiency with Aha!, Jira, and GitHub, or comparable portfolio and engineering delivery tools
- Comfort working in ambiguity and a fast-moving environment
- A bias toward action and simplicity
