Job Summary
Senior Technical Program Manager I/II for Space Sensing & Domain Awareness leads end-to-end programs for EO/IR sensing payloads and optical systems from concept through qualification and scalable production. Owns the technical roadmap, manages multiple active programs, coordinates cross-functional teams across optics, electronics, software, and data, governs subcontract and supplier relationships, and partners with Government customers and business strategy on proposals and technical narratives. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, 5+ years (PM) or 8+ years (PM II) of program management, demonstrated end-to-end program delivery, experience moving hardware/software toward flight-ready production, understanding of EO/IR sensing or focal plane arrays, and active TS/SCI clearance. Based in Long Beach, CA; salary Range: $115,000–$180,000 (CA). The role includes high ownership, leadership of the team-of-teams, and close collaboration with Chief Engineers to balance schedule, performance, and risk across a mission-focused Space Systems program.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in physics, math, science, or other technical discipline
- 5+ years of program management experience (Senior PM I) OR 8+ years (Senior PM II)
- Evidence of moving hardware/software from prototype toward scalable, flight-ready production
- Understanding of EO/IR sensing, optical payloads, or focal plane arrays
- Experience identifying technical, schedule, or supply-chain risk and neutralizing it before it impacts the mission
- Active TS/SCI clearance
