Senior Technical Product Manager

HybridAustin, Texas, United States

Full TimeSenior LevelSmallProcurement Software

Job Summary

Own the platform layer beneath SourceDay's application, managing ERP integrations, the data platform, and the public API surface. Define sync reliability standards, error handling, and onboarding metrics for connectors while establishing versioning, authentication, and deprecation policies for the API. Serve as product owner for enterprise professional services engagements, deciding which nonstandard ERP footprints become supported capabilities versus configurations. Stand up MCP servers to expose data and actions to customer-side AI agents with proper permission scoping and audit trails. Prioritize tradeoffs between integration debt, new connectors, and customer commitments, then feed learnings from large customer builds back into the roadmap.

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years in product management
  • at least two owning technical surfaces — APIs, integrations, or data infrastructure
  • Practical knowledge of API design: REST conventions, authentication, versioning, pagination, idempotency, webhooks
  • Enough comfort with data to answer your own questions in SQL rather than filing a request and waiting
  • A track record of turning a specific customer's problem into something that works for the next twenty customers, and of saying no when it will not
  • Clear written communication with engineers, customer-facing teams, and executives — often in the same document
  • An Austin address or willingness to relocate
  • This is a hybrid role, three days per week in office

Desired Qualifications

  • Supply chain, procurement, manufacturing, or distribution background
  • Depth across multiple ERPs, or experience with middleware such as Boomi, MuleSoft, or Workato
  • Hands-on experience with at least one ERP or comparable system of record, and a working understanding of how order, receipt, and supplier data moves through it
  • Exposure to LLM tooling — MCP, function calling, retrieval — and opinions about what an agent should and should not be allowed to do with a customer's data
