Job Summary
Senior Technical Officer - Mechanical responsible for monitoring and maintaining plant and systems to ensure safe, reliable operations across gas assets, including routine, planned, and unplanned maintenance. Duties include repairing equipment, investigating issues, developing and authorising work permits, implementing isolations, planning major/minor shutdowns, developing operating and maintenance procedures, monitoring spare parts, leading site projects, and responding to after-hours callouts. Requires trade qualification in mechanical discipline, experience with gas assets, exposure to oil & gas, mining, utilities or heavy industrial sectors, WA driver’s licence, and ability to travel to remote locations; strong safety focus and ability to work with cross-functional teams; roles may include FIFO out of Perth and rosters.
Required Qualifications
- Trade qualified Mechanic (Light Vehicle or Heavy Diesel)
- Current Western Australian Driver’s Licence
- Experience in oil & gas, mining, utilities, or heavy industrial sectors
- Experience as Operator/Maintainer on gas assets
- Able to travel and work in remote locations for extended periods
