Job Summary
Provide technical support and guidance to the National Malaria Control Program to strengthen commodity demand planning and supply chain management. Execute bottom-up quantification exercises, track supplies, and ensure timely availability of quality malaria commodities across the health system. Develop technical proposals, budgets, and work plans while contributing to business development efforts and strategic partnering. Mentor junior staff, build capacity through training, and create reports, briefs, and tools to disseminate approved stock status and best practices. Monitor performance milestones, interpret data for evidence-based forecasting, and maintain feedback mechanisms with stakeholders. Participate in pipeline analyses, identify supply chain challenges, and implement mitigation measures. Work 10–25% of the time traveling, reporting to the Senior Technical Advisor, Systems Strengthening & Demand Planning.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree (or its International Equivalent) in public health, Pharmacy, Laboratory or a related field
- Minimum of six years of professional experience in commodity forecasting, quantification, demand planning or supply chain management
- Experience working with non-governmental organization/s (NGO), government ministry or entity, implementing partners, donors or private organization/s
- Demonstrated knowledge of Tanzania's health supply chains systems and malaria commodity management
- Proficiency in national quantification and forecasting tools including Quantimed, Pipelines, ForLab, or equivalent tools
- Experience using LMIS/eLMIS platforms and other electronic logistics information systems for forecasting, reporting and supply chain performance monitoring
- Must be able to read, write, and speak fluent English and Kiswahili
- 10% - 25% travel
