Job Summary
Own the end-to-end technical SEO roadmap for a large-scale, multi-market e-commerce platform with 100K+ URLs, managing crawlability, renderability, and indexation across complex category structures and faceted navigation. Lead root-cause analysis of crawl traps, soft 404s, and duplicate content by inspecting raw HTML, HTTP responses, and JavaScript behavior to diagnose SSR and hydration issues within React, Angular, and Vue frameworks. Design robots.txt and canonical rules to protect crawl efficiency while driving Core Web Vitals improvements through prioritized actions for developers and product teams. Lead source-level remediation and structured-data implementation (JSON-LD) during migrations, redesigns, and major releases, ensuring accurate redirect mapping and post-launch validation. Govern international SEO architecture including hreflang and market targeting, and build automated monitoring for technical regressions using GSC and crawl data. Act as the senior technical authority for Engineering, Product, and Commercial stakeholders, challenging weak implementations and mentoring the team to maintain high technical standards and revenue impact.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of SEO experience
- at least 4 years in a dedicated technical SEO role
- substantial ownership of a large e-commerce platform or similarly complex website
- Proven experience working with enterprise-scale websites containing 100K+ URLs, SKUs or dynamically generated pages
- Strong working knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript
- ability to inspect source code, rendered DOM, HTTP headers and network activity
- ability to identify implementation defects without relying solely on crawler exports
- Deep understanding of crawling, rendering and indexing
- knowledge of SSR, CSR, hydration, dynamic rendering and the SEO implications of modern JavaScript frameworks
- Advanced experience with crawl-budget optimisation
