Job Summary
Lead a team of Manufacturing Engineers and NC Programmers to manage equipment procurement and qualification for airfoil, disk, and hub production. Develop strategies for parallel machine installation and qualification to support increased production rates starting in 2028. Execute the mod center transformation plan by cross-qualifying processes, designing shop floor layouts, and aligning process development with improvement targets. Build relationships across functions to enable collaboration and drive proficiency growth through formal and informal training. This role supports Pratt & Whitney's manufacturing of components for military and commercial engines within the Compression Systems Module Center.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and 10 or more years' experience in an engineering, manufacturing, machine shop, operations management, project management, quality or related industrial environment
- Master's degree and 7 or more years' experience in an engineering, manufacturing, machine shop, operations management, project management, quality or related industrial environment
- Understanding of continuous improvement tools such as Six Sigma and LEAN
- Prior experience in supervisory/management/lead capacity
- Experience with conventional machining manufacturing processes
- Project management experience
- U.S. citizenship
Desired Qualifications
- Manufacturing experience of rotating parts like Turbine/Compressor Disks
- Manufacturing engineering leadership experience
- Familiarity with inspection methods, First Article Inspections (FAI) and nondestructive evaluation of materials
- Six Sigma Black Belt/Green Belt
