Job Summary
Act as the final technical sign-off authority for complex and high-value HVAC solutions, leading structured design review and governance processes. Validate system selection, performance assumptions, and application suitability while identifying and mitigating technical risk in bids and projects. Lead a team of Product Managers and Technical Specialists, driving technical standards, governance, and capability development across Sales, Pre-Sales, and Delivery functions. Provide targeted customer engagement on strategic or high-risk opportunities and develop structured technical training programmes in partnership with factory teams. This critical hire strengthens technical governance and builds long-term capability for Carrier's UK&I Applied business.
Required Qualifications
- Strong HVAC technical background across: Chillers and heat pumps
- Hydronic systems
- Air handling systems (AHUs, RTUs, FCUs)
- HVAC controls
- Experience in technical governance, design review, or senior engineering roles
- Experience leading or developing technical teams
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
- Strong ability to influence within a matrix organisation
- Excellent communication skills
- IT Literate with MS Office skills
- Good communication skills
