Job Summary
Senior Technical Lead – Digital Electronics Design role in Thales India Engineering Competency Center (Bangalore) focusing on design and development of reliable, cost-effective avionics/defense electronics. Responsible for hardware design from requirements to concept to detailed design, including digital circuits, microprocessors, microcontrollers, FPGA, embedded firmware, and test planning. Performs trade analyses, simulations, derating, and verification to meet DO-160/MIL-STD regulatory constraints; contributes to DFMEA/DFT/DFM, component obsolescence management, and root-cause analysis of failures. Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, PCB layout, systems engineering, suppliers) to deliver high-technology products for defense and avionics applications. Proficient in design/simulation tools (Cadence, Allegro, ANSYS, PSPICE/LTSPICE) and hardware verification processes, with strong troubleshooting and test plan development skills.
Required Qualifications
- B.Tech in Electronics & Communication or Electrical engineering or equivalent
- 8 to 16 years of relevant experience
- strong experience in Electronic design and development from requirements to concept to detailed design
- experience with high speed digital circuits including microprocessors, microcontrollers, FPGA and embedded firmware
- experience in board-level testing, integration and validation testing
- knowledge of design and simulation tools
- experience with DO-160 or MIL-STD standards
- DFMEA, DFT, DFM tools
- component obsolescence management
- test procedures definition and execution
- signal integrity
- manufacturing failures analysis
