Job Summary
Senior Technical Implementation Specialist to lead end-to-end imaging solution deployments across healthcare environments. Design and implement scalable, secure integrations with PACS, EHR, and HL7 to support clinical workflows. Troubleshoot complex DICOM/HL7 issues, mentor junior engineers, contribute to process improvements, and create documentation and knowledge-base content. Partner with Product and Engineering to drive customer-focused improvements and represent the technical services team in customer meetings. Strong background in medical imaging, healthcare IT, Linux, scripting (Bash, Python), APIs, and data privacy/security in healthcare (HIPAA, PHIPA, SOC2). Familiarity with cloud-based imaging, teleradiology, FHIR/IHE is a plus. Requires 5+ years of relevant experience and advanced knowledge of DICOM, HL7, PACS/RIS, and Mirth Connect.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in technical services, implementation engineering, or healthcare IT support role, ideally in the medical imaging industry
- Advanced knowledge of DICOM, HL7, radiology and clinical workflows
- Hands-on experience with PACS/RIS systems, modality configuration, and Mirth Connect (NextGen Connect)
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently on high-priority technical issues
- Comfortable working with Linux, scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python), and APIs
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills — able to work cross-functionally with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Deep understanding of data privacy and security in healthcare environments (HIPAA, PHIPA, SOC2)
- Nice To Have: Experience with cloud-based imaging platforms, teleradiology, or interoperability tools (FHIR, IHE)
- Nice To Have: Prior experience with major PACS/RIS vendors (GE, Sectra, Philips, Change, etc.)
- Certifications in DICOM, HL7, CIIP, or other healthcare IT standards
