Job Summary
Oversee the entire editorial process for high-stakes technical documentation, transforming raw data and engineering jargon into authoritative documents. Manage the full lifecycle of a document from outline to final publication, including online and web publishing. Conduct substantive editing, verify technical accuracy, and ensure compliance with agency style guides for all reports, manuals, and publications. Perform reference checking, fact checking, and copyright compliance to maintain quality control across large-scale programs. Mentoring junior staff while ensuring stylistic consistency throughout. Requires an expert-level command of the GPO Style Manual and independent work capability.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree (Senior) in English, Journalism, or a technical field
- 10+ years for Senior with supervisory and project management experience

- eye for detail when ensuring quality control for all publications and documents
- ability to work independently, managing the full lifecycle of a document from outline to final publication including online and web publishing
- ability to perform reference checking

Desired Qualifications
