Job Summary
Develop technical packages for fit sample development across all categories and evaluate pre-production and TOP samples for specs, quality, and workmanship. Conduct fittings with designers and internal teams on live models and body forms to ensure product fit consistency. Write fit comments to factories with clear technical instructions and illustrations, while maintaining a product library and department fit logs. Correspond daily with factories and cross-functional partners to solve problems, manage approval timelines, and act as a liaison between Design, Sales, Production, and Factory teams. Update and maintain department fit logs to track progress.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in Technical Design
- Experience working with contemporary and premium fashion brands
- Knowledge of assembling detailed technical packages to communicate proper instructions to agents/factories for style development
- Extensive experience participating in fittings and evaluating garment construction and fit
- Ability to assign clear and accurate points of measure
- Ability to determine appropriate grade rules across all points of measure
- Highly organized and experienced in all phases of technical design
- Ability to partner and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines with a high sense of urgency
- Proficiency with PLM
