Job Summary
Senior Technical Consultant for Medtronic covering the North of England (Manchester area) in the Cranial Spine business. Responsibilities include case coverage, inventory management, and intraoperative sales in collaboration with the cranial and spinal Territory manager; provide clinical implant support in theatres for spinal and cranial procedures; upsell the cranial spine portfolio in the theatre environment; troubleshoot for the field sales force and customers; plan and support clinical and technical training programs with cross-functional input; prepare study materials and conduct training for physicians, technicians, and nurses in coordination with the District Sales force/network team. Requires experience in the medical device industry or hospital OR operations, ability to work independently on projects, strong relationship-building skills, and a valid driver’s license.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in the medical (device) industry or in a hospital operation room environment
- Demonstrated ability to operate in a matrix environment and work effectively with sales force, physicians, nurses and hospital technicians in an operating room setting
- Ability to work independently on projects/duties as well as contributing to a larger team
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to effectively build relationships with a wide range of people and personalities
- Ability to accommodate a flexible work schedule and in possession of a valid driver’s license
