Senior Technical Business Analyst (Data)

Job Summary
Bridge business stakeholders, Data Engineering, and platform teams to define and shape data products and analytics solutions. Perform hands-on data profiling and source analysis across feeds and enterprise warehouse structures to identify quality issues and reconciliation gaps. Lead conceptual and logical data modelling for the billing and payments domain, including fact and dimension tables. Define requirements for semantic layers and self-service analytics, supporting the migration of legacy SQL reports to Power BI dashboards built on Databricks. Requires 8+ years of experience in data-centric delivery with significant finance or insurance system exposure. Remote work available in Costa Rica, Peru, Colombia, and Bolivia.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in Business Analysis, with a strong focus on data-centric delivery
- Significant experience working with Finance or Insurance systems
- Strong hands-on experience with data profiling, data analysis, and source-to-target mapping
- Experience with fact and dimensional data modelling
- Strong understanding of data warehouse and lakehouse architectures
- Experience with Databricks or equivalent big-data platforms
- Experience with semantic models, BI layers, and Power BI-based analytics
- Strong understanding of insurance data, including policy, claims, underwriting, billing, premiums, and collections
- Experience with payment platform migrations and analytics modernization initiatives
- Advanced English proficiency (B2+/C1)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience operating at Lead Business Analyst or domain-owner level
- Experience with dbt and Gold-layer transformation logic
- Experience defining data products and API-driven data services
- Experience with data standardization initiatives and enterprise reporting migrations
- Strong stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills
