Job Summary
Facilitate requirements gathering and documentation for themes, epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria within Agile project management tools. Analyze existing documentation to translate business needs into actionable development requirements and convert use cases into user stories. Collaborate with project managers, developers, QA teams, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle to support successful solution delivery. Support Agile planning activities including story point discussions and level-of-effort estimation while analyzing current processes to identify efficiency improvements. Create and maintain process documentation, workflows, and supporting artifacts for technology initiatives. This 12-month contract in Austin, TX, requires 5+ years of BA experience with proficiency in Agile and Jira.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting technical, enterprise, or emerging technology initiatives
- Proficiency in Agile project management methodologies and practices, including requirements refinement and team collaboration
- Expertise gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements, including themes, epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and use cases
- Experience with business process documentation, process mapping, and identifying opportunities to improve operational effectiveness and efficiency
- Ability to collaborate with project, development, and QA teams to support successful solution delivery
- Experience working with Agile development teams and tools such as Jira
- Experience supporting quality assurance activities, including requirements validation and acceptance criteria review
- Experience facilitating Agile estimation activities, including story point analysis and level-of-effort discussions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate processes, identify improvement opportunities, and recommend solutions
