Senior Technical Agriculture Specialist

Job Summary
The Senior Technical Agriculture Specialist will provide overall project technical support for the StreFas Project, aimed at reducing Greenhouse Gas emissions through regenerative agricultural practices. Key responsibilities include facilitating farmer behavioral change towards regenerative agriculture, providing technical oversight for project interventions, developing and coordinating training curricula, mentoring field staff, and collaborating with the MEL specialist for program evaluation. The role requires an advanced degree in a relevant field, knowledge of regenerative agriculture, and experience in technical studies, alongside strong communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- An advanced degree in Crop Science, Agronomy, or other relevant field and at least 5 years of relevant professional experience with a bachelor’s degree
- Alternatively, 3 years with a Master's degree
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of regenerative agriculture, carbon credits, and greenhouse gas emission reduction through regenerative practices
- Fluency in English is required. Other preferred Language, Hausa.
Desired Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in leading technical studies such as environmental impact assessment, baseline, and endline evaluation studies
- Experience working in Nigeria is preferred
