Job Summary
The Senior Technical Advisor is responsible for providing technical assistance to internal and external customers. Key responsibilities include assisting technicians with repairing processes, coordinating with Caterpillar engineers to resolve product issues, answering technical inquiries, and documenting product issues to improve customer satisfaction. Candidates should have an Associate's degree or equivalent experience, strong communication skills, and basic computer skills. This role also requires occasional physical activity and exposure to various environmental conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
- Two-year Caterpillar related work experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers and/or employees
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions
- Basic computer experience and competence in Microsoft Office applications
