Job Summary
Senior Advisor - Surface Mining Production accountable for coaching and developing superintendent and supervisory levels to deliver safe, efficient surface mining operations; identifies knowledge gaps, prescribes corrective actions, mentors teams, and drives continuous improvement through coaching, safety governance, planning, scheduling, and operational discipline; focuses on building capacity, skills transfer, and adherence to production plans while managing costs and ensuring compliance with safety and company policies.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 15 years of experience in open mining operations
- Proven experience in executing mining operations in high rainfall environments
- In-depth knowledge of safety expectations and best practice in surface mining
- Leadership: ability to lead, motivate, and empower a team
- Communication: excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Problem-solving: strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Decision-making: ability to make sound decisions under pressure
- Safety Focus: safety-first culture and zero-tolerance for safety breaches
