Job Summary
Senior Technical Account Manager for F5 Distributed Cloud Security responsibilities include owning both technical delivery and strategic relationships for a portfolio of large accounts; onboarding customers onto Distributed Cloud Bot Defense, Shape, and WAAP; tuning bot policies, WAF rulesets, and detection configurations; investigating anomalies; managing escalations; leading QBRs and strategic account plans; identifying expansion opportunities; mentoring junior TAMs. Requires 10+ years in enterprise environments, hands-on web application security experience (WAF, bot management, API security), strong knowledge of TCP/IP/HTTP(S)/JavaScript/HTML/CSS, ability to read logs and detection telemetry, proven C-suite relationship management, and a Bachelor's degree in CS/IS or equivalent. Describes hybrid work in India (Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad) with ~20% travel, and a mix of on-site and remote work with defined office locations. The role emphasizes real technical work (onboarding, tuning, investigation, incident management) and strategic impact for customer security outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years in a technical role within enterprise environments (TAM, solutions engineering, managed services, or security operations)
- Hands-on experience with web application security: WAF, bot management, API security, or application delivery
- Ability to read and interpret traffic logs, HTTP request/response data, and detection telemetry
- Proven track record managing C-suite and VP-level relationships at Fortune 500 or large enterprise accounts
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent demonstrated experience
- Ability to translate technical findings into business impact for engineering and executive audiences
