Job Summary
Senior Tech Reporter for CNBC based in San Francisco. Responsible for breaking exclusive reporting on Musk-led companies and related technologies, developing deep sourcing across industry, regulatory, investor, and technology circles, and producing analytical stories that connect technology developments with markets, industry, and society. Role requires reporting and production for television, digital, and social platforms; hybrid work arrangement with a minimum of three days in the office at 1 Market Plaza in San Francisco. Requires intellectual curiosity, strong news judgment, and the ability to write with clarity and authority about complex technological and regulatory topics.
Required Qualifications
- Significant experience covering technology, markets, or corporate power at a major news organization
- Proven ability to break scoops and deliver agenda-setting journalism
- Strong understanding of technology sectors such as AI, autonomy, aerospace, and manufacturing
- Experience cultivating sources across industry, government, and investment communities
- Excellent news judgment and the ability to distinguish signal from hype
- Experience delivering sharp, compelling stories on television
