Job Summary
Senior Teacher for the Autism Outreach Team leading on specialist teaching in autism and communication needs. Role involves managing a caseload for pupils with autism/SEND across Key Stages 1–5, delivering training to teachers, sharing effective teaching approaches, and deputising for the Team Manager. Requires Degree-level qualification with Qualified Teacher Status, significant SEND/autism experience, leadership capability, ability to work in partnership with schools, families, and other services, and a DBS check. Flexible working options including hybrid arrangements may be discussed; strong commitment to inclusion and neuro-inclusive education.
Required Qualifications
- Degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status
- evidence of further training and professional development in SEND
- experience of delivering training and leading on specific areas of work
- ability to work within a multi-agency context
- strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- commitment to safeguarding and DBS check (enhanced with barred list)
