Job Summary
Conduct sales and use tax setup, maintenance, reporting, and compliance by reading state regulations and evaluating current filings. Communicate tax findings and requirements to customers and Account Executives regarding sales tax matters. Prepare monthly sales and use tax filings, Canadian GST filings, and related journal entries, while assisting with audits and serving as subject matter expert for Vertex tax software configuration. File yearend Forms 1099 and manage customer resale and tax exemption certificates. Utilize AI-enabled tools responsibly for research, analysis, and documentation while protecting confidential information. Supports the company's indirect tax function to ensure regulatory adherence and operational efficiency.
