Job Summary
Plan, schedule, and manage all aspects of tax engagements, including preparing business and individual tax returns. Perform field work by preparing complex work papers and monitoring the preparation of Staff Accountants. Foster teamwork and knowledge sharing to enhance service delivery while training and mentoring staff. Continually develop expertise in specific areas to become a subject matter expert. Prioritize engagements and supervise team members to demonstrate leadership capabilities. This role requires a CPA certification or eligibility, 3-6 years of public accounting experience, and the ability to travel for client day trips. Located in Lexington, KY, this hybrid position offers ongoing training and mentoring opportunities for a promotable candidate.
Required Qualifications
- CPA Certification or eligible and actively pursuing certification
- 3-6 years of relevant tax experience in a public accounting firm
- Proven financial, analytical, technical and interpersonal skills
- Excellent client service and the desire to build business development skills
- Demonstrated ability to oversee and manage engagements, prioritize engagements and supervise/motivate staff
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to travel to client locations, mostly day trips; minimal overnight travel is required
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future employer sponsorship
