Job Summary
Senior Tax Associate supporting multiple small entities in Longmont, CO. Responsibilities include preparing and processing Federal and State tax compliance reports, preparing individual and entity tax returns, reconciling general ledger accounts, performing general bookkeeping duties (including payroll and account reconciliations), assisting in audits as needed, maintaining a full schedule and deadlines, following strict file-management and client-confidentiality protocols, inputting data accurately, scheduling tasks, and verifying completion. Regular use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams), QuickBooks Online and Desktop, and tax software (CCH) is expected to support GAAP-based financial reporting and tax basis accounting (cash and accrual). Strong attention to detail, client relationship skills, excellent communication, ability to manage multiple deadlines, and a service-oriented team player mindset are required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA preferred, but not required
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in a similar tax/accounting role is preferred
