Senior Tax Analyst

Job Summary
Prepare tax workpapers and meet client deliverable due dates while developing and implementing solutions to partnership tax allocation issues within proprietary software. Collaborate with internal fund accounting staff to provide tax accounting guidance and assist in software maintenance and testing by analyzing changes in tax requirements. Conduct research on relevant tax laws and regulations to determine proper tax treatment, and analyze company financial statements. Apply strong analytical skills to support complex partnership and investment fund tax operations in a fast-paced financial services environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting
- 2-5 years of tax experience in partnerships, hedge funds and financial services
- Experience with tax adjustments related to investments and partnership capital transactions
- At least 2 years of recent partnership tax accounting experience
- An above-average proficiency in the use of MS Excel
- A working knowledge of the entire MS Office product suite
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of client service
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Well-organized and self-motivated to deliver an outstanding product
- Team Player, attentive to detail and proven ability to multi-task
Desired Qualifications
- CPA/MBA
- Knowledge of foreign reporting requirements
- Experience in the area of investment partnerships
