Job Summary
Calculate and maintain the global quarterly and annual income tax provision under ASC 740, including uncertain tax positions. Prepare and review U.S. federal, state, and local corporate income tax returns and estimated tax payments in collaboration with external providers. Support international tax compliance including transfer pricing, Pillar 2, GILTI, FDII, and BEAT analysis for global operations. Maintain and reconcile consolidated deferred tax assets/liabilities and manage multi-state sales and use tax compliance for SaaS products. Assist in calculating R&D tax credits and support M&A due diligence, deal structuring, and post-acquisition tax integration. Partner with Legal on inter-company arrangements and respond to tax audits. Contribute to process improvements and evaluate tax technology tools to increase compliance efficiency. This role directly reports to the tax manager and requires a strong background in technology or SaaS company taxation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Active or pursuing CPA license
- 3-4+ years of tax experience from Big 4 or large regional firm experience serving technology clients public accounting or from a technology / SaaS company
- Strong command of the U.S. federal and multi-state corporate income tax compliance
- Hands-on experience with ASC 740 tax provision
- International tax experience including transfer pricing, GILTI, FDII, BEAT, Pillar 2
- Experience with IP/intangible asset structuring in a tech environment
- Familiarity with the U.S. sales and use taxes nexus and compliance and cross-border SaaS taxation
- Familiarity with R&D tax credits and Section 174 capitalization rules
- Advanced Excel
- Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, or similar)
- Experience with Avalara, or similar sales tax automation tools
- Highly organized with the ability to manage competing multiple deadlines
- Strong analytical and research skills; ability to interpret ambiguous regulatory guidance
- Clear communicator and Collaborative team player; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proactive approach to staying current on tax law changes impacting the technology sector and AI automation
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with frequent organizational changes
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- master's degree in taxation (MST) or MBA
- Prior involvement in M&A tax diligence or integration
